原本出生在朝鲜，
6岁时随父亲返回日本。
他并非自幼痴迷画画，
但大学却考入东京艺大油画专业。

森本在40年的创作中，他只钟情于一个模特，一直坚持使用棕茶色调作为基调，无论是人物、风景还是静物，都以棕茶色来协调和中和画面，使画面总是温和的、亲切的和富于人情味的，只用一种色调贯穿创作，制造出宁静典雅的印象。
最初他喜爱静物画,尤其对光线直接照射在各种物体上的'表情'很感兴趣,深入刻画这些对象的质感、量感和空间感。
后来,他找到了自己非常满意的模特,在肖像画和人体画上深下工夫。在把握细节和整体的关系上,在画面的取舍上,他的作品达到了完美协调的境地。

At first, he loved still life painting, especially the 'expression' of light directly shining on various objects, deeply depicting the texture, quantity and space of these objects. Later, he found a model he was very satisfied with and made great efforts in portrait painting and body painting. In terms of grasping the relationship between details and the whole, and in terms of the choice of pictures, his works reach a perfect coordination.
Morimoto's rigorous, cool, melancholy and even destructive beauty of women, his unique aesthetics, color, his inheritance of tradition and grasp and carry forward the trend are excellent. He absorbed the techniques of Western classical portrait painting and drew some unique charm of the East.
In 1976, Morimoto went to France to further study European classical painting. During his trip to France, he had a strong interest in the pastoral scenery of France. After returning home, he created many masterpieces on this theme.
In his 40 years of creation, Morimoto has always insisted on using brown tea tone as the keynote. Whether it is characters, scenery or still life, brown tea color is used to coordinate and neutralize the picture, making the picture always gentle, cordial and full of human feelings. Only one tone runs through the creation, creating a quiet and elegant impression.
One tone, one composition and one same model are rare examples in Japanese painting. His masterpieces include the banquet in the afternoon, grapes and shellfish, a little sleep, pearl, woman in green, Moret, etc.
