For Lin Ke
In Chengdu, a garden can be carefree but can hardly be
ancient
We drink over chicken sauce fried dumplings and peanuts
Not over bread, nor over onions or potatoes
The orange smells so good, unveiling
A twilight of childhood, and a mirror-the winter feel
The carton opened, smelling of biscuits, how come?
What smells good is young, and I've seen many
brand-new yogurt young men running against wind in biting
cold
---What smells good is also old, and I've seen many
translators drinking to the close of their respectful old age
A residence is ready for the simple man to settle down
But nobody can be sure that children like fairy tales
Is the mysterious key for unlocking only? Look:
Light is not for lighting only, it is also for vanishing
