本课的重点内容是介词的用法。
具体内容可参考第10课和第34课。如：
He is being sent abroad.He was offered the vacant post.Your wallet has been found.
本课侧重的是be done to do的结构用法。如：
I was told to wait for him.He is said to be a genius.
本课的难点部分出现了几组词语的辨析。
1、increase和grow
increase皆可以用作及物动词，表示“增长”，也可以用作不及物动词，表示“增加”。如：
The number of visitors to Frinley has now increased.Wide reading will increase your vocabulary.
grow用作及物动词，主要表示“种植”，用作不及物动词，主要表示“增长”，此时与increase的用法相似。但是，grow也可以用作系动词，表示“长得，变得”。如：
The family has grown in size recently.They used to grow cotton on a large scale.How tall you've grown!
2、gain和earn
两者一般都用作及物动词，gain表示“获取，获得”，earn表示“赚取，赢得”。如：
The country gained its independence ten years ago.Her unusual talent gained her worldwide recognition.He works hard, but he does not earn much money.He has earned a lot of money in this month.
