比较于教师修改后的句子：

In terms of restaurants, they can develop policies to prevent excess orders, and there could also be incentives for diners to eat up what’s on their plates.

* 修改后的句子比原句的结构简单（两个简单的句子的并列），读起来也更顺畅。

* 修改后的句子中，动词和名词的选择以及搭配更合理：develop polices、prevent excess orders、there could also be incentives、eat up what’s on their plates. 对比于原句中的carry out some mechanism（“实施某种机制”。读者的内心OS：“听起来怕怕的”）以及ensure（“保证”。读者的内心OS：“你怎么保证人家吃完？人家就是各种原因没吃完，你是要把人家怎样？”）

* eat up 替代 be completely eaten 是个很重要的语言现象：eat up更习语，be completely eaten 再此处显生硬。diner（“食客”）替代 customer是个词汇量的问题，这些不起眼的单词，其实扫描扫描词汇表就可以迅速学到学会。
