鲁敏，女，1973年10月5日出生于江苏东台。从小在乡村长大，母亲为教师，父亲为工程师。18岁开始工作，先后做过邮局营业员、秘书、企划、记者、公务员等职，25岁开始写作，从各种职业经历中获得了无尽灵感。江苏省作协副主席，现居南京。
曾获人民文学奖、中国小说首届双年奖、《小说选刊》奖、《人民文学》未来大家TOP20等。2010年，短篇《伴宴》获鲁迅文学奖。长篇小说《此情无法投递》英文版由Simon & Schuster Inc.于2016年出版，并已签约阿拉伯、土耳其语。长篇小说《六人晚餐》已签约瑞典语、土耳其语。长篇小说《奔月》签约阿拉伯语。另有多篇短篇小说被译为德、法、日、俄、英、西班牙、意大利、阿拉伯语、韩语等。
鲁敏的写作既讲究中式传统叙事，又富有试验性与现代性，被文学评论界认为“站在中国小说艺术的前沿”，为中国七零后作家代表人物。其作品主要关注当下中国人的精神与身体状况，抽样攫取生活场景与截面，加以取景器般的“微观特写”和戏剧性的“放大变形”，挖掘剧变时代下的人性与灵肉。她关注时代巨轮边上的小人物，关注他们渺小而顽固的梦想。她对于女性成长与困境、焦虑与变异亦有独特的经验与呈现。
长篇小说《六人晚餐》以一次城市地下管道大爆炸为核心事件，围绕两个单亲家庭、六个主人公的聚散离合，以戏谑、狂欢的语调，讲述这些在城市快速化前进步伐中，气喘吁吁试图追赶上时代的人们，粗鄙苦涩的处境中，为了更加美好的生活，不得不更加粗糙和勇猛，如野草枯荣，他们最终的奢望也许就是与亲人在一起坐下来吃一顿沉默的晚餐。《六人晚餐》是一本向“失败的大多数”致意的书。据本书改编的同名电影获巴黎中国电影节评委会大奖。
长篇小说《奔月》以一位“自我主动失踪”的已婚年轻女性为主人公，随着她的不告而别，寻找与臆想次第展开，枕边人、亲爱者、闺中友、上下级、朋友圈，由亲密到隔阂到陌生，均陷入日常面目下的涌动暗流。而小六以无名之躯去往无名之境，听凭“偶然性”左右着一个“全新生活”，陌生与荒诞中显露出人性的诡谲云图。这是一场迷雾中的精神逆奔。《此情无法投递》是以上世纪八十年的中国“严打”事件为背景的一个“悲情备忘录”。30年前，19岁的大学生丹青举办圣诞舞会，舞会上他邂逅了女生斯佳，青春期的欢愉与交融却导致致命的结局：丹青因“流氓罪”被执行死刑；成了“祸水女孩”的斯佳余生都在阴影中度过，由此开启她后半生与异性交缠、离合的灵肉悲剧。

Lu Min
Lu Min is a female writer from China who was born on 5 October 1973 in Dongtai, Jiangsu province, to a teacher mother and engineer father. Lu started working when she was 18 years old, taking on the positions of postal clerk, secretary, company planner, reporter and civil servant. She began her writing at the age of 25, drawing inspiration from the various professions she has worked on. Vice-Chairperson of Jiangsu Writers Association, Lu currently resides in Nanjing.
Lu is a recipient of the People’s Literature Prize, the First Biennial Award for Chinese Fiction, the Selected Fiction Award and also one of the “Top 20 Future Masters” as chosen by The People’s Literature. In 2010, she was awarded the Lu Xun Literary Prize with her short story Accompany the Feast (Ban Yan). The English translation of her novel This Love Could Not Be Delivered ndeliverable (Ci Qing Wu Fa Tou Di) was published by Simon & Schuster Inc. in 2016, and has been signed for translation into Arabic and Turkish. Her full-length novels Dinner for Six and Run Away to the Moon (Ben Yue) have also been signed for translation into Swedish and Turkish, and Arabic respectively. Many of her short stories have been translated into German, French, Japanese, Russian, English, Spanish, Italian, Arabic and Korean.
Lu Min’s writing combines traditional Chinese narratives with modern and experimental tropes. She has been lauded by critics as a representative among Chinese writers born in the 1970s who “stands at the forefront of Chinese fiction”. Lu’s works mainly focus on the physical and psychological well-being of Chinese people in the modern day. They capture cross-sections of Chinese people’s life, and explore the humanity of characters living in times of great change by means of dramatic enlargement of close-up shots. She often follows the modest but firm dreams harbored by minor characters on the margins of society. Lu has distinct experience writing women’s growth and predicament, their worries and changes they undergo in an ever-changing society.
Lu’s novel Dinner for Six is about getting together and parting between six protagonists in two single-parent families. In playful language, it tells the slapstick, carnivalesque story of six people making their greatest efforts to catch up with the tide of the times in a fast-paced city. As they seek to improve their circumstances, they grow coarse and wither like wild grass their ultimate wish is to sit down with their family members for a quiet dinner. The book is ultimately a feast in tribute of love and imperfection, honoring the majority who have failed in the dim twilight of lost time, 'success mania,' and increasingly cruel social stratification. The film of the same title based on the book was awarded the Jury Prize at Festival de Cinéma Chinois de Paris.
Lu’s novel Run Away to the Moon tells the story of a young married woman who carries out her own disappearance in estrangement from the people around her. This Love Could Not Be Delivered is a tragic love story set against the backdrop of the 1980s “Strike Hard” crackdown on youth crime. 19-year-old university student Dan Qing runs into Si Jia, a woman who is attending a Christmas party he has organized. Dan Qing’s adolescent innocence brings her to a fatal end – she is sentenced to death for committing the crime of “hooliganism”, while Si Jia who is labelled a femme fatale is traumatized for life.
