What’s new=有什么新鲜事
What’s new=An informal greeting asking the other person what has recently happened in their life. A typical response might be, “Not much, you?”. At times the greeting may not be literal and might just be used as a synonym for hello, hi.
What’s new是一个口语化的打招呼的方式, 询问对方最近有什么事情发生了. 通常的回复可能是: 没啥事情, 你呢? 有时候这个用法不需要具体作答, 是纯粹地打招呼, 跟hello, hi意思相同
