have a thing about sb./sth.

对某人/某事非常喜欢或反感

have a thing 后面不管是接 for 还是 about 都可以表示喜欢某人的意思。但也有区别：

have a thing for 后面只能接人，只表示喜欢某人、对某人有意思。

而 have a thing about 后面可以接人或物，但不管后面接什么，都有两个意思，一是“非常喜欢”，一是“非常反感”。至于到底是喜欢还是反感，就要根据上下文来判断。

I had a thing for one of my colleagues.

She has a thing about spiders——she won t touch them.
