History

25-year-old male with a remote history of a motor vehicle accident requiring hospitalization.

病史：25岁男性，既往曾有交通事故住院史。

CT scout topogram demonstrates volume loss of the left hemithorax and a distorted contour of the left lateral hemidiaphragm.  Localized pleural thickening along the lateral chest wall at the level of the 7th and 8th lateral ribs is also noted.

图1：CT定位片可见左侧胸廓体积缩小，左侧横膈轮廓扭曲。另可见侧胸壁第7和第8侧肋水平局部胸膜增厚。

Contrast-enhanced chest CT (mediastinal window) demonstrates localized pleural thickening of the posterolateral left hemithorax with associated calcification of the visceral pleura.  The parietal pleura is also thick.  Note the volume loss in the left hemithorax.
