INTERNATIONAL WATERCOLOR
经过将近5个月的策划、筹备，由上海中外文化艺术交流协会水彩画专业委员会主办的“2020首届中外水彩画家国际线上作品展”终于和大家见面了，本届展览共邀请了43位国内外画家参展，展出作品95幅。
今年是特殊的一年，在疫情常态防控的当下，“2020中外水彩画家国际线上作品展”利用网络手段为中外水彩画家构建一个非接触、跨地域的交流展示平台、希望通过这个平台并通过艺术作品展现不同国度、不同地域的文化。
本届展出的作品都有着各自的创作理念及视角，读者观众可以透过这些作品感受国际化下的地域化，一体化下的个性视角，于启示中启智。
本届邀请展组委会自10月向国内外水彩画家发出参展邀请后即得到了艺术家们的积极响应，投稿之踊跃远远超出组委会预期，为保证展览质量，给艺术爱好者提供高品质的观展体验，组委会经过精心挑选，最终确定了21位国外画家及22位国内画家，共计95幅作品亮相本届展览。
让世界了解中国，让中国了解世界。本届展览中来自欧美、日澳的画家大多是都是首次亮相中国，在此要特别感谢我们优秀的海外艺术家朋友的专业推荐，辛苦组织，这些都是源自于他们深耕异国文化多年的结果。
水彩虽源自于欧洲，但来到中国后，却广受中国人的喜爱，优秀的中国艺术家在水彩艺术创作中融入了中国文化，跨过新世纪，中国与世界更加深度融入，日益频繁的艺术交流使得创作与作品形式也更加深度融合，当下的水彩已经成为中外文化艺术交流毫无隔膜与沟通障碍的“世界语”。
疫情阻隔，无法阻断交流，让我们用作品述说各自的故事，期待新的一年的到来。

After nearly five months of planning and preparation, the '2020 First International Online Exhibition of Chinese and Foreign Watercolor Painters', sponsored by Watercolor Professional Committee of Shanghai Sino-foreign Cultural and Art Exchange Association, finally met with you. A total of 43 domestic and foreign painters were invited to participate in this exhibition, with 95 works on display.
This year is a special year. At the moment when the covid-19 epidemic situation is normally prevented and controlled, '2020 International Online Exhibition of Chinese and Foreign Watercolor Painters' uses network means to build a non-contact and cross-regional communication platform for Chinese and foreign watercolor painters, hoping to show the cultures of different countries and regions through this platform and through art works.
All the works exhibited in this year have their own creative ideas and perspectives. Readers can feel the regionalization under internationalization and the individual perspective under integration through these works, and enlighten their wisdom through enlightenment.
Since October, the organizing Committee of this invitation exhibition sent invitations to watercolor painters at home and abroad to participate in the exhibition, and the artists responded positively. The enthusiasm of submission far exceeded the expectations of the organizing Committee. In order to ensure the exhibition quality and provide art lovers with high-quality experience, the organizing Committee carefully selected 21 foreign painters and 22 domestic painters, with a total of 95 works appearing in this exhibition.
Let the world know China, let China know the world. Most of the painters from Europe, America, Japan and Australia in this exhibition are making their debut in China. We would like to thank our outstanding overseas artists and friends for their professional recommendation and hard organization, which are the result of their deep cultivation of foreign cultures for many years.
Although watercolor originated in Europe, it has been widely loved by Chinese people since it came to China. Excellent Chinese artists have integrated Chinese culture into their watercolor art creation. Across the new century, China and the world have become more deeply integrated, and the increasingly frequent artistic exchanges have made the creation and the form of works more deeply integrated. Nowadays, watercolor has become an 'Esperanto' without any barriers to communication between Chinese and foreign cultures and arts.
The covid-19 epidemic situation can't block the communication. Let's tell our stories with our works and look forward to the coming of the new year.

Jennifer Annesley is a Canadian artist whose work receives international recognition and is collected worldwide.
She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Alberta, and is an elected member of the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour and the Federation of Canadian Artists.

Canadian artist/author Linda Kemp is a Life Member of The Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour. She has received the top award for Outstanding Achievement in Watercolour in International competition.

Margaret Roseman is an award-winning Canadian artist, instructing nationally and internationally since 1970. Her work has been featured in many international publications and may be found in corporate, public, and private collections worldwide. She is a signature member of CSPWC, SCA and is the Founder and Lifetime Director of the Toronto Watercolour Society. Margaret has received a Canadian Government Confederation Medal.

Since 1984 he has undertaken over 20 solo exhibitions in Australia, Cambodia and China, including ‘Paper Culture’a survey of ten years of work at Cangzhou Museum in China in 2015.
He has also participated in more than 120 group exhibitions in Australia, Singapore, Vietnam, China and Italy.
He is represented in public collections including the Australian National Gallery Canberra, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney, Bendigo Art Gallery andthe Chinese Government and private collections in Australia, America, Japan, England, Ireland, and France.

Anthony Charles Smibert AM (born 1949 in Melbourne) is an artist and aikido teacher. He has exhibited artworks and published research internationally, much of the latter on the methods of 19th century watercolourist J. M. W. Turner. He is the President of Aiki Kai Australia and a member of the Senior Council of the International Aikido Federation. In the Queen's Birthday Honours in June 2016, Smibert was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) 'for significant service to aikido through a range of roles, and to the visual arts as a painter and water colourist'. His home, studio and gallery are in Deloraine, Tasmania.
