相信这一周内，围棋这项活动一下子回到了小伙伴们的视线里

当然，这一切都归功于一个叫做"阿尔法狗"的东东。

"阿尔法狗"的英文是AlphaGo

其实这个词是这么来的：

从构词法来讲，AlphaGo 是由 alpha 和 go组合而成。
alpha 是老大的意思（希腊语的第一个字母）
在英文中，大家对围棋的称呼，是“Go”
所以两个词合在一起，既可以理解为“最初一步”，也可以看做“第一围棋”。

正如电影《终结者》中的一句著名的台词所言：

继20年前深蓝击败了世界顶级的世界象棋高手之后，人工智能（artificial intelligence）仿佛在上演这一句台词所代表的一切。再次闯入公众视线中的Alphago到底会不会有朝一日成为像电影一样站到与人类相反的一面，尚未得知，但是不可否认的是，反映人类最高智慧之一的围棋项目，机器正在成为终结者一般的存在。

Yeah, I’d say it’s extremely important. I guess what I’m kind of trying to say is that the so-called artificial intelligence is changing our lives. A piece of news I read recently said,  AlphaGo won final game against S. Korean Go master.  You know, without science, we wouldn’t be able to recognize the truth that robots might have been cleverer than human brains. In light of this incredible result, I would say if we can use this technology properly, it may make a huge difference to our society.
