刘向东,先后毕业于四平师范学院,东北师范大学。现为职业画家。他的作品常常呈现的是家中后院采摘的植物与昆虫,一切能够勾起他儿时回忆的田间作物,都是他笔下所描绘的精彩对象,宁静的画面背后,是他真真切切体会春夏秋冬四季带给我们的精彩。

刘向东说,喜欢静物画原因很简单,风景画和人物画都不太允许长时间的对照着来画写生,静物画就方便得多画静物,显然是小题材,小画种,但对我来说已经足够了。借物抒情托物言志得是有大胸怀大志向的高人才能做得到,我恐怕来不了。

画布上的诗意栖居

刘向东享受自己在东北一个安静小城里的生活,他的画里常常呈现的是从自家后院采撷来的植物和昆虫,平和宁静的心境透过画布上一茬丰收的稻谷,一截生意盎然的树枝或一只生动的小昆虫丝丝缕缕地传递给了观众,而宁静背后是艺术家在真真切切地体味春夏秋冬每一个时刻大地带给我们的精彩。

用一个流行的说法,刘向东是一个真正活在当下的艺术家。 刘向东曾说的一句话:“我只不过是一个画家,我唯一的自由就在这不到一平米的画布里。”海德格尔曾经将德国19世纪浪漫主义诗人荷尔德林的诗句“人,诗意的栖居……”做了哲学上的延伸。

他认为诗性是人类在现代社会发展中唤醒人性的关键。一个人的成长是自我人性显现、敞开、领悟和自我实现的生命体验过程。而艺术就是存在自身的显现。艺术家的使命我认为就是通过自己的方式去实现“诗意栖居”的审美人生境界。

画布虽小,人的心灵是无限的,如果将自己的心灵安放在画布上,那么它就可以是无限大的。这一平方米的画布不仅仅是技巧的展现,更是呈现艺术家人生功底的舞台。而所谓艺术的真实性,是否也就在此?祝愿他在未来的创作中更踏实与笃定地去追求自己的诗意栖居地。
