            cheap=inexpensive 不贵的；

                      =low-priced 价格低的；

                      =affordable付得起的；

                      =cut-price 打折扣的

e.g.

>>>  The pen is quite inexpensive, because I bought it for a song. 这支笔不贵呢，因为我以低的价格买了它。

I settled on a low-priced dress. 我买了一条价格低的裙子。

The house is affordable actually. 这房子是付得起的呢。

I settled on two cut-price airlines. 我选择了两家廉价航空。

She just ate some cut-price junk food. 她只是吃了一些打折的垃圾食品。

    sad=gloomy 忧伤的

          =depressed 沮丧的

          =glum [glʌm]闷闷不乐的

          =morose [mə'rəʊs]忧郁的

e.g.

I'm afraid I have to tell you the gloomy news. 恐怕我不得不和你说说这条令人忧伤的消息。

He felt really depressed and was kind of upset about the whole situation. 整个境况使他当时挺沮丧的，意志消沉。

He was quite glum and was missing his children. 他有些闷闷不乐的，而且当时正在想念他的孩子们。
