1. Vocabulary and sentence patterns: This is a dialogue from PEP Book5 Unit5 A Let’s talk. This dialogue mainly concerns the words of things in the room:bed, photo, computer and desk. The words nice and cool the children have learnt appear in the dialogue. The dialogue begins with the pattern of expression of Sarah’s feeling and ends with the thing they are going to do just as the thing they mentioned in the part of “Let’s try”. The key sentence pattern is “There is …”.2. Background situation of the dialogue: Sarah, Mike and Zhang Peng. They are good friends. Sarah and Mike are in Zhang Peng’s bedroom. They want to play computer games. So, they go to Zhang Peng’s bed-room and find the computer.3. Functional items:How to use the sentence patterns of “There is…” by using the singular forms to describe what you can see.4. The students: The students of Grade 5 have already learnt English for about 2 years. They can understand all the words and in this dialogue and the sentences begin with “There is…”.By the end of the class, children will be able to:1. Understand and finish the task of “let’s try”;2. Use the pattern of “there is…” in the certain language environment;3. In the support of the picture to understand the dialogue, imitate it and act it in pairs;4. 【教学后记】此课我在学校教研组里上过,基本的思路就是引导学生在理解对话的基础上进行对话的朗读、表演和创编。从教学目标的角度来说,我首先引导学生掌握基本的语言知识和技能,进而培养学生的语言能力并让学生掌握一定的语言学习策略。
