除了“盘货”，take stock 还有其他的用法

Take 是常见的及物动词之一，它的用法丰富多彩，而且在学习的过程中，你会发现越学就越多要学。其实积累是一个相对漫长的过程，但是当积累达到质变的时候，一切都会变得顺理成章。
Take stock 的字面意思是“盘货，清查存货”，比如盘点一家商店的存货等，相当于 inventory，例如：

take stock:
We'll need to take stock before we move everything into the new warehouse.
在我们把所有东西搬进新仓库之前，我们需要清点一下。
Be sure to take stock of the ingredients we have left at the end of the week so I can order more for Monday.
