This is an example of neurofibromatosis on abdominal x-rays. So we have a plain film of the abdomen. And what you can see is there's multiple round radiodensities. You've seen really throughout the entire abdomen, best seen in the upper abdomen. And they look very sharp, right? You can see the edges very well, and that's a key, So you should note that they're on the skin's surface. On abdominal x-rays you wouldn't really be able to see intra-abdominal masses that are this small, unless they were calcified. You see these are not calcified and the fact that you see the edges so sharp, should be a clue that these are on the skin. And these are actually skin lesions of neurofibromatosis.

Notes

1. radiodensity  不透线,阻射率

radiodensity(or radiopacity) refers to the relative inability of electromagnetic radiation, particularly X-rays, to pass through a particular material.

2. neurofibromatosis       n. 神经纤维瘤病
