The sweet potato that is too late to eat has sprouted,
and turned into an inedible sweet potato.
I swallow back what is too late to say
as they have become unmentionable.
Bury the sprouted sweet potatoes in the soil,
just like the proverb says:
bury what you can't say in your heart,
and seal your lips.
This is the wrong analogy:
your words won’t grow real leaves,
your silence will gain nothing.
A monolith cannot borrow from storms and thunder
to change anything.
Next to such a serious discussion,
the sweet potato that seems so insignificant
begins to sprout silently in a forgotten corner,
earnestly announcing its new life.
It has a steadily diminishing side, but also
an enkindled, innocent side.
